What is Life on Purpose?

 WHAT IS LIFE ON PURPOSE? 

I don't believe there has been a year when I did not take some time at the end of the year to ask myself and sometimes those around me, am I living to honor my purpose in this world or am I just wasting my time. Am I being self centered, boring, broken, distracted, hurt or just wasting my life?  It's a real question we all should ask. I mean, let's be honest, we all loose ourselves sometimes and to be even more honest, some of us have never found ourselves. 

I remember learning that I might have a specific purpose in this world, other than riding my bicycle, playing with toys, listening to music and chasing my sister around. See, I grew up. When life started to feel more grown up, purpose became more important and through some soul searching, became more accessible. 

Below are some real tactics to help 2024 be a pivotal year to find or to reinforce a Life on Purpose. 

P: Prioritize Seeking Clarity on Your Purpose

U: Ugly Attitudes Identified & Rejected

R: Receive Mercy from God Every Morning

P: Play Offense Five Days a Week

O: Open Your Heart to More Love

S : Say Yes More Often

E: Eliminate Waste

A FATHER'S HEART (July 14, 2024)

  Dear RamFam Kiddos,  It's 4am. I'm in a hotel room just outside the town of my teen years, it's a little strange. I moved Ben into his apartment yesterday and tried to imagine one of my kids making the full circle to this geographical area from when I moved out here at 12 years old. There was a path where it would have been natural for you all to be here. In the 1990's when Elizabeth and Hosanna were born we lived and did ministry & work in this area along with my sister and mother and other family nearby, seeing this is where I grew up.  But later we left for Jacksonville then Colorado. So, if we had of stayed here, I could see how you would have become part of this community, but this way is more unexpected for sure, especially for Ben.  Anyway, just lots of big feelings. A STRONGER U - JAN 26, 2024

  As I read Proverbs 26 today I was struck by just how deep the indictment against "the fool" and "folly" was explored. I mean, the wisdom writer really had harsh words about "the fool".  In vs. 11 the fool is like a dog that returns to his vomit. That is pretty gross. But, it also tells me a story, a story that I really can't put into words. It's a word picture that has stuck with me for over 20 years since a mentor of mine taught on that scripture. But, as bad as that is for the fool, as terrible as that person's character, habits and morals might be, vs. 12 is worse.  In vs 12 the writer asks a question... " Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? "  I go, well of course I do. I am he and I see them and hear them everywhere.
